Legal Guarantee & Product Conformity
Last updated: 6 October 2026
EU consumers have statutory rights when goods are defective or do not conform to the sales contract. The exact rules and time limits depend on applicable EU and national law.
When goods may not conform
- The product is defective or cannot be used as reasonably expected.
- It does not match the description, sample or agreed characteristics.
- It lacks agreed accessories, instructions, updates or qualities.
- It is not suitable for a particular purpose accepted by the seller.
Available remedies
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, the consumer may be entitled to repair or replacement. If these are impossible, disproportionate, refused, not completed within a reasonable time, or the lack of conformity is sufficiently serious, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund may be available.
How to make a claim
Contact [email protected] with the order number, product details, a description of the issue and relevant photographs or documents. The seller may reasonably inspect the product before confirming the remedy.
Separate from commercial warranties
These statutory rights apply independently of any voluntary manufacturer or seller warranty. A commercial warranty may provide additional benefits but cannot replace or reduce mandatory conformity rights.
